Biography

Ama-Mariya Hoffenden originally from Kiev, Ukraine is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Government with concentration in International Law from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York.  Upon graduating with Magna Cum Laude, she received an honorable mention award in her Model United Nations competition for writing one of the best position papers for delegation from Burkina Faso.  Ama-Mariya obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Florida International University College of Law and is duly licensed to practice law in the State of Florida and may practice Immigration Law in any state.

Her legal experience began in 2006, working as a paralegal for a small New York City law firm.  In 2007, Ama was already working as a legal assistant for one of the largest environmental law firms on the North-East coast, Gilberti, Stinziano, Heintz, & Smith, P.C.  At Gilberti, Ama had an opportunity to assist former New York State senator Tarky Lombadi, Jr. and a former Yonkers mayor, Andrew Maniglia.  These individuals filled her experience with practical knowledge and wisdom.

After being admitted to the Florida Bar, she defended individuals in criminal and immigration cases.  Just six months into practicing, Ama-Mariya obtained a $100,000.00 judgment for her client in a probate dispute.  Ama-Mariya currently focuses her practice on criminal defense, family law and immigration law.
